Off to Osh Kosh!

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

Displaying FullSizeRender.jpgOff to Osh Kosh to help with the NTMA booth. So excited to share about PNG and the need for personnel overseas. And thanks to Grandma Cam Leedahl for babysitting!

Would you guys pray with us? We got news about the prosthetic leg; there is a glitch with the insurance company. They gave us a verbal ok for the leg, but we need the written approval before we can order it. Pray for the details to be worked out. Thank you all for praying for us!!

See some of you soon at Osh Kosh!

A Killer In Your Fridge ~ Sweet Poison…A MUST READ

A Killer In Your Fridge ~ Sweet Poison…A MUST READ. This is about aspartame, a sweetener, that I used to think was great, but in recent years, have come to be very wary of, and avoid.   I’m not sure of the info in this article, but I am sure that you will not harm your body by eliminating it from your diet.

Flight Physical

What an incredible knee joint!

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

Thank you all for praying us as Jon got his flight medical done this past week. The docs are going to do neurological testing since he had 2.7 hmgb & loss of consciousness during the accident. They just want to make sure he’s still got what it takes to handle flying again.

Pray for all of that to go well.
We’re gathering up all the medical documents for the doctors to give to the FAA medical division.
Jon says its just another hoop to jump through & is confident he’ll be fine, it will just take time to get it all done. He’s been flying everyday, thanks to his Dad. Practicing with the pedals so it becomes smooth & natural. Talk about determination!!! 🙂

Summer is here! It’s always a busy time for us. Our weeks have been full with family get togethers, a little traveling, birthday celebrations, receptions…

The Leedahl’s Update – June 14th, 2015

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

11391360_10153011718907252_1324639046657448461_nAs I took pictures this week, I have a thankful heart. To me they say, “And life goes on!”
Not too long ago all this seemed impossible: Jon’s good health, walking & now flying again. God did that. God answered our prayers. When I doubted, fretted, cried & worried, God would show me time & time again, that He’s got this!

God has walked us through one of the toughest times in our lives. And yes, somedays it seemed like it would be an eternity before we could finally breathe again.

But He’s been since day 1 of the accident, strengthening our weak faith & showing us He can be trusted. He has taught us things we would have never known otherwise.

To God be the glory always.11401551_10153011718637252_2367784768382817314_n

God’s Warning to America via Rabbi Jonathan Cahn at the U.S. Capitol on April 29th

R3publicans

Rabbi Jonathon Cahn tells it like it is on capitol hill.  I believe it is prophetic and timely. See if you agree… ‪   #‎4life‬ ‪#‎4liberty‬ ‪#‎arepublicifyoucankeepit‬ ‪#‎r3publicans‬/sc

Service entitled: Washington, A Man of Prayer

God’s Warning to America — Members of Congress hear a hard-hitting speech by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn about God and America at the U.S. Capitol the day after the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments about same-sex marriages.

The Leedahls Update – June 4, 2015

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

On the eve of Jon’s birthday (Jon turns 35 on June 5th), I can’t help but be overwhelmed by ALL that God has brought Jon through in the past 8 months!!!!!

Jon’s life was spared after his near-death motorcycle crash in PNG. The long hospital stay, nine surgeries to put his body back together, the countless nurses and doctors that have worked on him, the intense physical therapy to get Jon mobile again, the list goes on and on of ALL of the things God has walked us through, never leaving our side. ALL of miracles that have happened are all to the glory of God!! And God alone. He gets all the praise due to Him!!

As I got to watch & experience Jon go from shakily walking to virtually walking cane- and crutch-free, I am in awe. Speechless. As we now get to walk hand-in-hand and hug standing up…

The Leedahls Update – May 30, 2015

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

Well, it’s the end of May and we are down to one last appointment on Monday. No more appointments until July-hooray!!

Don’t get me wrong, the doctors, PT, and prosthetics folks have been great. Really impressed by them all! But, it will be SO nice to get back to a “normal” life again.

11390060_10152984725307252_6095374529088984803_nWe feel for those who are constantly in and out of the hospital. If you know of someone who has to do that, please encourage them you guys!! It gets old fast.

Jon was given a loaner C- leg (a micro processor leg) to take home until we hear from the insurance company. Jon spent yesterday getting it tweaked & programmed. Then, he took it home and walked all around the house. Jace was so curious about it all and sat with his Daddy asking all kinds of questions.

What’s next for our family? We head back to the…

The Leedahls Update – May 23, 2015

Amazing progress!

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

“You’ve got to commit to it!”

That’s what Jon’s PT told him as Jon started training on the loaner leg 2x daily this week. Each step Jon takes has to be intentional. Once he takes the step, he has to follow through so his leg will work properly. Just the right weight shift, not enough and he could easily fall. “Easier said than done,” Jon said!

Jon worked really hard to gain balance, strength, and ease as each step took thought, effort, and lots of sweat. By the end of the five days, the PT guys let Jon take the leg home for the weekend to practice on his own. With only one graceful fall, Jon is doing great!!!

Thank you all for praying for Jon’s skin on his stump, we check it after each session & it’s holding up. Praise God!!

Continue to pray for Jon to build up…

Maybe Everything Comes Back

Rachelle Marie

a sermon for the United Church of Acworth on the fifth Sunday of Lent, year B

Jeremiah 31:31-34

John 12:20-36

I don’t know if any of you ever have this experience of listening to a song that really takes hold of you—maybe it catches you the very first time you hear it, or maybe it takes a few listens, or maybe it’s a song you’ve known for years that for some reason hits you in a new way, and for a while you don’t want to listen to anything else. When this happens to me, I have been known to listen to a track on repeat five, six, seven, who knows how many times.

This has happened to me recently with the song “Atlantic City” by Bruce Springsteen (but the cover done by The Band). It’s a song about gambling, organized crime, and desperate characters that has an unexpectedly poignant…
