Surgery Accomplished

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

Thank you all for praying today!!! Jon had surgery this morning & everything went well.
The Doc said the plate was a little “stuck” so it’s a good thing they got it out now before it got too attached to him.

He is allowed to walk on his foot in 48 hrs, but needs to be careful because there are some holes on the bone where the screws were that need to fill in with time.

Jon has a check up Thurs & to rewrap the foot. He will wear a soft shoe around till things are feeling better.

A big praise is that the same Doctor did Jon’s amputation revision surgery back in March & was surprised at how much strength Jon had in his stump. He was worried there wasn’t enough muscle left for Jon to work with.
He shook his head in awe & said, “I don’t…

Surgery Tomorrow

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

At Mayo Clinic today for a consultation before Jon’s foot surgery tomorrow morning.

This surgery will be to remove the metal plate in his foot. That plate held Jon’s broken foot together & now needs to be removed before it breaks.

Please pray for the surgery to go well & for Jon to recover quickly. He’s worried that this surgery will take him off his foot for possibly weeks. Pray for his foot to heal up well with no complications. Thank you guys!!

Checkride Rescheduled

Jon & Adie Leedahl, NTMA

Wasn’t Jon’s check ride supposed to happen Wednesday? Due to winds it got rescheduled again…to Monday. He’s been doing some practice flights at the Jet Center this week prepping for his big day.
Please pray for good winds & all to work out Monday!

After 5 weeks on the road in a van full of luggage, 3 stinky boys, poor cell signal, gas station bathroom stops & beginning to feel claustrophobic, we finally arrived home Saturday.

Road tripping is fun in short doses I’ve decided. But I’m fine if we don’t do that again for a long time!

Jon & I got home sick with the chills, fever, aches & cold. We were in bed for 2 days while the kids watched tv all day. As yucky as we felt, it felt amazing to do nothing & go no where!!!

Pray for us as we catch our breath & get…

After the Oshkosh Airshow, we came back to Rochester so Jon could get his socket (the fiberglass sheath that Jon’s stump rests in) remade at the prosthetic lab. His stump has shrunk quite a bit & he needs a smaller size now. It’s not unusual for the stump to change size & shape with time. We’ll pick up the new socket in 10 days & Lord willing, the Genium X-3 will have arrived for pickup as well!!

Jon’s Doctor called & his flight physical paper work has been processed & a letter sent to the FAA office saying Jon is ready for his flight test. Each step has gone quicker then we anticipated, praise God & thank you all for praying for us!!!

We came back to our sweet little guys who had a blast with Grandma while we were gone. So very thankful that they have a place that’s familiar…

The End of the Story and an Old Letter. {Keep Trusting.}

Found July 30 while at the Fairfield Marriott hotel in Watertown, NY.

Teacups in the Jungle

I am so grateful to be able to share the end of this story, with you today. {While I enjoy a cup of tea and a wee bun!}

On Tuesday morning, Danny and I, with the kids in tow, made our way back to Belfast airport, after our few unplanned days in Amsterdam. Danny had every document we may need with us and we had prepared ourselves as best as we could for either outcome which lay before us. We had shared our situation with Isabela and Judah, in case we were facing an immediate separation at the airport. The lines at Immigration were long. We shuffled forward trying to get a glimpse of the people behind the desk, so we could make our choice as to who may be best. (Basically, I was looking for someone who most resembled a teddy bear.) We finally came into view of the…

From the Middle of the Story, in Amsterdam.

Amazing trust in him Who knows all things.

Teacups in the Jungle

I love a good story. I love to read a good story and listen to a good story. I even love to tell a good story, especially one with a meaningful lesson and a happy ending. However, as I sit here on a Sunday afternoon, in a hotel in Amsterdam, with the rain gently beating against the window, we find ourselves in the middle of a story we did not expect to be living this week. A story that has taken us completely by surprise and one in which we do not know the outcome of, as yet. However, rather than waiting to tell the full story, I feel the Lord prompting me to share from where we are at.  Things are still up in the air, the stress level is still high, and the rug has just been pulled out from under our feet. This is where I write to…

We are having a great time here at Oshkosh! It’s been great getting to meet so many folks & fun to meet fellow missionary aviation personnel that serve the Lord through aviation all over the world!

A HUGE thank you to all the people who have stopped by to say you’ve have been praying for us!! We are just so blessed & humbled by your faithfulness to pray on our behalf.

We wanted to share a BIG praise: Our glitch with the insurance was resolved & the Genium x-3 leg was approved!!! Praise God!!! How good is our generous God?!

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! (Romans 11:33 NIV)”
